Important Dates

September:
18- Mentoring Informational meeting 7th period in Mr. Rutherford's room. Students are invited to a question and answer with Miss Tarilyn Garrard from South Columbia Elementary School about becoming a mentor for students on their campus. October:
8- Samford University visit during 7th period, Mr. Rutherford's room
11- Columbia International University visit during 1st period in Dr. Strother's room
Colorado Christian University visit during 7th period, Mr. Rutherford's room
Christian College Fair at Warren Baptist, Simmons Hall from 6:30-8:30pm
15- Report Cards Parent conference, IEP Reviews, Student Holiday
17- 10th and 11th grade students will take the PSAT/NMSQT test. 9th grade students will take the PLAN test. 8-11am
30 Sophomore parent meeting, 7:00-8:15 pm in the Chorus Room

November:
5- Newberry College visit during 2nd period in Mr. Giddens' room
6- Student Holiday for Election Day, Teacher In-Service
12-15 Spiritual Emphasis Week, 8:40-9:50am each day in the gym
19-23 Thanksgiving Holiday Break

December:
3-5 check with Guidance to verify that 2nd semester schedule is correct
17-19 1st semester final exams
20 - January 7 Christmas Holiday break

Interested in joining the military or attending a military institution? Saturday September 29th is Military Academy Day. Horatio Alger Scholar Students who possess the character to succeed in life the Horatio Alger Association wants to help students overcome the financial barriers of pursing high education. To qualify, you must have at least a 2.0 GPA, require financial assistance ($50,000 or less adjusted gross income) to go to college, participate in co-curricular and community activities, and be a US citizen.
