Parents, Teachers, and Students,

As we briskly move through the final days of the 2012-2013 school year, I cant help but reflect on the many blessings we have experienced at ACS. God has moved in a special way this year, one that I dont fully understand but know that He is in full control.

We contributed once again to the kingdom through mission work from South Carolina to Louisiana, all the way to Haiti. Our sports teams have fared very well but most of all, they have represented God in a special way. The Medical Health Academy will see its first graduates this year with a CNA certificate. The work on the two-year college continues and we will approach state certification hopefully within the next six months. Ultimately, we plan to open our doors for the 2014-2015 school year, offering courses which will lead to an A.A. degree. We continue to maintain the facility the Lord has provided with new paint and refurbishments and make plans for future improvements as long as the funding is available. All of these accomplishments and goals are no doubt incredible but the one that stands out came at the beginning of the year. Our student body raised over 3,600 dollars so that every child in a village in Swaziland would be able to have a pair of shoes to attend school. Wow! That amazes me! We are so blessed that the heart of your students is one of giving and serving.

So what lies ahead? We have a host of summer opportunities for our students in the making. We also have a few mission trips that will occur in the summer that may be of interest to our students and parents. Finally, on May 18th we have set aside an evening to celebrate the 55 year anniversary of ACS. This will no doubt prove to be a special evening with fun, fellowship and reflection. We conclude the year a week later on May 25th with a special graduation ceremony at West Acres Baptist Church. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the ACS family for a successful conclusion to the school year.
