Head Coach Chuck Renfro
Coach Chuck Renfro has been a part of the ACS family for over 20 years. He and his wife of 32 years, Pam, have had 3 children at Augusta Christian, the oldest starting in 1989. Chuck served on the Augusta Christian Board of Trustees for six years, 2 of those years as Chairman. His service to the Lord includes serving as a Deacon and Youth Leader at Sharon Baptist Church in Appling. He is also a short term missionary, primarily in Alaska where he has lead summer mission teams for the past 12 years. He is also a licensed pastor in the Baptist Church. Chuck has been involved in the game of volleyball for many years. He played in a Columbia County church league in the 1970s where he won a county-wide championship as well as playing on intramural teams in college. Chuck is a community coach who works in the local building industry, engineering building systems as a Structural Designer. Chuck served as an assistant coach with the ACS volleyball program for two years, before taking over the program in 2007. His favorite book in the Bible is the book of James, his handbook on living the Christian life and his favorite verse is Col. 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men."
